The CBSLC mission is to “Empower Black scholars by developing individual cultural identities, while addressing the need for activism and professionalism within today’s Black community.” Now more then ever we need strong, empowered, innovative Black leaders who will challenge the world and provide solutions to our society’s pressing dilemmas. The Black Lives Matters, can’t Breathe and other movements expose that after 50 years following the death of Emmett Till we are still wresting injustice and inequity.  The CBSLC will address activism and Black identity development, activism & social change, as well as professional & leadership development.
